2944 Estimated Payment Dates
The following diagnostic is generating: 2944 The due date for the first estimate payment has already passed and the payment cannot be processed. Please adjust this payment in the input to be marked as either paid or none. The remaining estimates will automatically adjust. Please review the information on the client letter for the remaining estimates and due dates. Information on the client letter for the remaining estimates and due dates. COMPARE TO DIAGNOSTIC 2943: The estimated tax payment dated 4/18/2023 will be electronically withdrawn from the taxpayer's bank account. COMMENT: These diagnostics are in conflict. And I think it they are a result of Intuit not updating Lacerte to reflect the new estimated payment due date of 10/16/2023 for the IRS and California.

Odd that this diagnostic appears. In my case - a 2024 individual with ES set up to be paid automatically. The return was filed on time and in time to make the Q1 payment. I have confirmed that the payments were made by seeing all four estimated payments in the efile report.
