On a fiduciary tax return, there is a critical diagnostic that says to claim current year increasing research activities, prepare and attach Form 6765. I have done this as a PDF attachment. How do I clear the critical diagnostic? Or does this mean, the return has to filed on paper?
Solution: The return does not have to be paper filed. This particular diagnostic won't get resolved after making the attachment in screen 2.2. However, it will not prevent the e-filing of the return. Confirm the attachment has been made by viewing the Gen. Info. sheet under the US form set. It should show the PDF name there. After that, you can safely disregard the diagnostic.
