The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act provisions are being applied to this return. Currently the program allows the CARES Act provisions on the Colorado return. Colorado does not conform to the changes arising from the federal CARES Act. If you do not want to apply the CARES Act provisions to the Colorado return, uncheck the 'Apply the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act provisions' box under Miscellaneous Information. If the Colorado return is filed when the CARES Act provisions are applied on the federal return, the taxpayer may need to amend their Colorado return to back out any non-conformity adjustments.
