The following diagnostic is generating:
For electronic returns, the County is a required field. Please input the information needed. If the taxpayer is a nonresident of OH, please enter Franklin as the county.
Solution:
- Click on the diagnostic from the Diagnostics tab or go to General>Screen 1 Client Information.
- Scroll to Ohio Infomration.
- In County field enter the appropriate information. If the taxpayer is a nonresident of OH, enter Franklin as the county it will show the county as Franklin. This is due to the Ohio Schema rule that County must = “Franklin” if residency status = FullYearNonResident.
Critical, will prevent e-file transmission.
