Help.  I am attempting to efile two 5500s.  Both forms have been signed by the client.   However, the return fails validation and the validation error message is the return needs to be signed.  Sigh.  I cannot unlock the return because unlock is greyed out in the menu.  Please advise.

Solution: Benefit Plan returns must have a signature status of Complete before sending the return. Please ensure the signature status has been updated by going to E-file > Step 1: Print e-file Signature Document > View Client's Signature Status. This should download the most current signature status. After the signature status is Complete, you can send the return by running the e-file Wizard. Additionally, if the Unlock Return command is greyed out, the return may already be unlocked.
