The following diagnostic is generating: ref #11615 Excess Mortgage Loan #2. The loan is being sent to a schedule E rental that is not a vacation home or owner occupied rental Acquisition and grandfather interest and point on the loan are not subject to the excess home mortgage limitations. Acquisition and grandfather interest and points associated with the loan should be removed from the itemized Deductions screen and entered directly on the rental activity.

regarding the diagnostic above, I have the Schedule E coded as vacation home/short term rental and I've entered the same in the excess mortgage interest screen.  I've entered the number of days of personal use, which is zero, and the number of days of business use.
