Have critical diagnosis with reference 10700; Have entered -1 as AMT beginning basis but still getting this critical diagnosis
Solution: This diagnostic generates when there are prior year basis losses for the K-1, but no corresponding AMT prior year basis losses. If this is true, it will create an AMT difference on the basis limitation worksheets.
To resolve, go to screen 20.2, and select the appropriate K-1 activity. Scroll to the section labeled Alternative Minimum Tax Basis Carryovers. Enter the same figure as in the regular Basis Carryover section, or enter the AMT basis carryover figure, if any.
