We are making updates to state calculations for custom strategies in the Tax Year 2024 projected tax returns and tax plans in Intuit Tax Advisor. As part of this, you might see an update to state projections where custom strategies were used.
What changed: We recently enhanced Intuit Tax Advisor calculations to show state marginal rates allowing more accurate projections. As part of this, you will see an update to projections for state calculations.
How will my Tax Year 2024 tax plans change: If you have recently created a plan with a custom strategy that affects the resident state, you should review the plan for calculation updates.
What actions should be taken: Because state marginal rates are being included in the custom strategies, the new liability could be higher than earlier.
