My client has an joint LLC that operates as the management company for 2 subsidiary LLCs on his name. He is required to file a 1065 form since its a 2 member LLC. Does anyone know if there are any special requirements when filing a tax for a management company?
"for 2 subsidiary LLCs on his name"
For managing his property? Or for managing some other business type? They probably have a reporting requirement to issue 1099s. Have they missed that due date?
"since its a 2 member LLC"
Wait; are both "partners" his two LLCs and only those? And are those LLCs only his? In other words, a disregarded entity is each of the two partners in the same parent entity and suddenly they're a partnership?
