In the partnership module, screen 22, there are fields to enter the "remaining 743(b) adjustment" to appear in box 20, code U.
Those fields do not allow the entry of negative numbers.
However, 743(b) adjustments can be negative [ aka a "step down" ]
Lacerte should allow the entry of negative 743(b) adjustments in these fields that can be allocated to the relevant partners
