I was trying to update the Salutation section of the main letter for the IRS extension to Oct 16 for most of California. However, I wanted this section to ONLY print if it was a CA resident. I know I can put it in the state CA section, but I wanted it to print at the beginning of the letter - salutation section. There isn't a 'code or trigger' I can use to modify it to be only for CA.
I know I can modify each individual client, but then if the return changes, the letter won't recalcuate unfortunately. But this is a good workaround for non-CA states for me. Tech support rep was very helpful - Haley - so I did learn a lot of other things I can do with the client letter.
