The E-file acknowlegement letter, when it prints to the electronic file cabinet does not distinguish between Extension, 1040, Fbar or Estimates, for example. When you print the letter for the extension and then, months later, the one for the 1040, the original gets overwritten, unless you remember to go and edit the file name.
Wouldn't it be a real time saver if the original file name included the type of electronic filing?
