Please work with Iowa to allow taxpayers to electronically file their estimated tax payments for Iowa using Pro Series. Most other tax software packages support this capability. It seems as if Iowa is willing to allow this if Pro Series requests it.
One isn't necessarily most, but thanks for answering. As a side note, ProSeries is a decent program but if it did absolutely everything that everyone wants, a lot of folks aren't going to be able to afford the price that would go along with meeting those wants. Sometimes you have to go with a product that meets a good portion of your needs and work around those items that aren't provided.
As a side note, Intuit has provided this "wishing well" for folks to ask for things that they would like to see. However, most of those wishes never do come true ---------- but you can always keep wishing. 😀
I didn't realize you actually wanted me to sit here and list out programs. TaxSlayer and FreeTaxUSA are two other programs that support it. This isn't something that should be difficult or expensive to implement. It is merely a suggestion that would increase the experience for me and my clients when trying to pay estimated taxes.
I do an occasional Iowa return which typically don't involve estimates. I said I was curious how common the function was in other softwares. Your examples represent products on the lower end of the price spectrum. When you are looking to keep your software costs low, you typically are in the trade off game of giving up something to get something else with another product. As another side note, just because something seems like a really simple add on doesn't mean that it is a slam dunk for Intuit to add.
You could try govconnectiowa. You can efile estimates thru there. But be prepared because signing up for govconnect can be a nightmare. And if you have any hard objects nearby, you will probably also need a new computer screen before you are done.
