I waited on hold forever with the IRS then she was able to issue me a new EFIN over the phone, but yes make sure you have access to your efiler account info before you call.  It was an hour or two but that was pre COVID so not sure what the wait times are like now.  Make sure you call the number for E filers, not the generic IRS number for tax payers.  Hope this helps!
