I need some help. This is my first year using ProConnect, and I just recently had a state return rejected with an error that reads,
"Error Message: The amount reported for the Nonresident Credit does not equal the nonresident credit multiple times Tax less additional credits, on the Ohio Schedule of Credits. Please correct and retransmit.
Solution: We are looking to address this in a future release. In the meantime, this return will need to be paper-filed. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Code: OH-IT1040-155"
When I looked into the credit calculation, it appears that ProConnect is using more than the decimals listed on the tax form to calculate the credit which causes the rounding to go up to the nearest dollar, but when using only the percentage out to the four decimal places showing on the return, the credit should be rounded down.
First, I would like to know if anyone else has ran into this issue. Second, is there a way to fix this issue in the system manually or, will I have to print the return and make the correction in Adobe or some other program before sending it through the mail?
Any support I can get will be much appreciated.
Cheers!
