Customer support evidently is a bit on the confused side -------- as usual.  In order to e-file you do need an EFIN.  Right now you are probably looking at not making the April 15th deadline if you want to e-file.  Since you are preparing under 10 returns you can still paper file ----------------- if your 5 clients are willing to do that.
