After my third call to Tech Support on the same topic (issues with PA local municipalities), last night I was finally told that the issue apparently can't be fixed. here is the issue:
I proforma'd my clients in late December. There always seems to be some issues, but that's a different story for a different day. Last week, I started working on an existing client with PA Local taxes. Inside of the return, the municipality along with the rates, etc. flowed into the return. However, that doesn't mean that it also flowed to the Profile screen. And without it listed there, the return will not populate.
Seems like it should be an easy fix, right? Apparently NOT. On call one, it was a "bug" that should be fixed in 24-48 hours. Call two, here's the support ticket number and check it in the morning. Call three actually got an answer - unless you waited until this week to bring over clients to 2024, this data will be missing. There are 2 ways to fix - manually enter the info in the Profile screen or delete the clients and proforma them again. I offered fix #3 - Intuit fixes the problem ASAP.
I turned down some pretty attractive offers to leave PTO and this level of "support" now has me questioning my remaining. If something this simple can't be fixed, what other issues exist within the software that has not yet been determined?
