I have a client who is struggling to make their Q4 2024 DC Estimated Tax payment online and asked if I could submit it through the software. It looked like I was going to be able to, and the e-file is eligible but when I submit I get the error below. Is there any way around this or fix for this?
E-file Transmission Failure
The IRS and states have temporarily stopped accepting transmissions of TY23 Individual e-file returns. The IRS and states will not accept transmissions of 2023 Individual e-file submissions until January 2025. When the IRS and states open for e-file processing, you can once again resume transmitting TY22 e-file submissions. Problem occurred transmitting efile data

Through your MyTaxDC account you can ask the Client to authorize you on their MyTaxDC account. Then you could initiate the payment.
This probably can't be accomplished today, though.
The more I know the more I don’t know.
