So I just want to clarify so that I fully understand.

There is the Clients tab on the left side under the Tax returns tab. So if I use the Clients tab, and then go to the drop down to edit client, then if I change the address there, that new address won't roll forward to next year. 

So the only way for the new address to roll forward is to enter it in the actual tax return client information input section.

Does all of that sound correct?
