- It does not seem there is a way to remove the preparer's signature. There is a help article https://proconnect.intuit.com/support/en-us/help-article/partnership/insert-remove-preparer-printed-... under proconnect, but it does apply to proconnect. 
- "The IRS allows for a printed name instead of a signature on the forms." I usually sign or initial besides the printed name as an additional measure, and never had a problem.

No, it is ready to go.  Save a pen and just use the preprinted signature.
