I attached 3 PDFs to 8849 exception reporting. The size is less than 200KB. I get below message in critical diagnostics
For e-file purposes, only one attachment may be present in the efile for Federal Return. Please consolidate multiple documents into one attachment. NC - Ref #45535
What am I missing?

I use proconnect online. Last year I attached multiple PDF files for 8849. Further there software allows to attach multiple files. I don't think there is a restriction on the number of attachments. Any thoughts?

I think you should consolidate the three attachments into one file, like the diagnostic says to do.

That article is just the general instruction. When you have a diagnostic that tells you specifically what to do, why would you want to fight the system? If you can get the diagnostic cleared by following what it says, wouldn't you want to move on to something more productive?
