Thanks a million Iron Man... They are on that list and they are listed as a 501 C 4... There are also other local vfw's listed as 501 C 4 , but there are many others that are listed as 501 C 19...QM said they were started before the Great Depression around 1932 so may be back at that time 501c4 was correct...
