I have a client who got married during the year. He was a resident of WI for the full year, but his spouse was a MN resident until their date of marriage. All of their income was earned in MN. My software is preparing a WI 1NPR which I think makes sense, but it doesn't appear to calculating the income allocation correctly or allowing a credit for taxes paid to another state. I can manually populate the Schedule OS, but when I go to override that field on the 1NPR I get an error that the field cannot be overridden if I want to file electronically. Has anyone else experienced this issue? What did you do to fix it? I filed other 1NPR returns this year and did not have an issue, but they were all for nonresidents. Thanks!
