There are a lot of folks that are going to decide that their kids are no longer dependents this year so that the kids qualify for the credit.  Just because the client says that doesn't mean it is necessarily true.  We all need to do some extra homework this year to sort out fact from fiction as to whether or not kids are covering more than half of their own support.
