Problem Description:

After updating, the Live Community widget bar that used to be on the right side of HomeBase or in a client file is no longer available.  

Solution Description:

An update was released on August 1, 2018 removing the Live Community widget feature in ProSeries 2017 and ProSeries Basic Edition 2017.  

The widget was removed because its current implementation is unable to leverage the latest technology and the experience as a whole is currently fragmented making it difficult to adopt and easily use.  

In an effort to improve the desktop self-help experience, ProSeries will introduce a newer widget in Tax Year 2018 that will enable a proactive and personalized experience that will keep you in the 'workflow' and achieve improved integration and a greater positive experience.   

At this time, we do not have additional details of the next generation widget, but we anticipate an improved design that you will be able to count on in the years to come.  

While the new self-help widget is being developed, you are encouraged to visit ProSeries Community and Support using your standard web browser, or you can log into your account.  You can also use the " Ask ProSeries" widget located in HomeBase or within a tax return for additional support.
