I want to file a married filing separate return, and a 1099 -Div states it is joint but only has the one
social security number on, can I split 50-50 on each return?

Yes.
The more I know the more I don’t know.

I would put 100% on the return that has the SSN the F 1099-Div was issued under, then back off 50% as 'nominee' (Just for matching purposes in an attempt to avoid future CP 2000 letters).
The other return, just put the 50%... The IRS cares not if you "over-report" income.
