I live in Fremont, CA and the California School for the Deaf moved here in 1980. My wife was an interpreter and worked establishing an ASL class at the local Jr College. I was a lifegaurd (inside joke) in 1962-3 at the Berkeley CSD founded in 1860. I never knew until then how loud deaf children could be. I thought all of them were drowning. Best wishes to you.
