You keep Asking the Community, so of course we are going to give answers. Your failed update seems to relate to Visual Basic; have you tried reinstalling or repairing the VB you see in the installed programs?
And I will close all the other places you have already asked this community.

Microsoft Visual C++_2015 x64 Redistributable - 14.0.23918

@mark There's no need to incur long distance charges by dialing IDD. You can simply use Skype to call US toll-free numbers without charge.

I am having the same issue.
I have tried repairing the program, I have tried reinstalling the program (twice)! I still get the same error when I try to update.

Has anyone solved this yet?
I have Proseries installed on two machines. My home machine had no problems with updates whatsoever
However my office machine, where I do the bulk of my work naturally, has this error and will not update. I tried doing a reinstall on top of the existing install. That did not help. Then I uninstalled, rebooted and did a full install. The problem still persists.
Oh, and the repair tool gives exactly the same error message when I try to run it!
Frustrating if the manufacturer cannot solve this themselves!

Sorry, no, I have not reached out to support. Seeing that there was no answer in the original thread made me believe that there had been no answer.
But here is an additional clue that might help.
When I got home and looked at my home computer, where update works, I looked for the file in question on the home computer, figuring maybe I can just copy it to my office computer. The file in question is...
c:\Prowin19\32bit\PrpPrf18.ini
There is no such file on my home computer. The update is looking for PrpPfr18.ini, whereas I believe it SHOULD be looking for PrpPrf19.ini ..... 19 not 18
So when I am next at the office (may be a couple of days due to COVID) I will duplicate the 19.ini file as 18.ini and see if the update will then work
However, if you have any other advice or suggestions in the meantime, it would be appreciated.

Back in the office today. Making a duplicate of the 19.ini file and renaming it as the 18.ini file did not work. I now get a different error message and am still not able to update the software on the office computer

From what i can tell, this error should have been resolved several months ago. If you are still experiencing it, please reach out to ProSeries Support for guided assistance.

I did call support and after trying numerous things we did a reinstall of the software.
We reinstalled from the website and this resulted in a software install wherein choosing to Update the software results in a successful update
My previous reinstall had been done from the disk which Intuit had mailed to me.
So it appears that there is a flaw in the original disk
Reinstalling from the website solved my problem
Thank you to "tech support"
