What are the steps to import credit card data that was downloaded as csv format to QB Desktop?
Do I need a conversion app to make the csv QBO file or can QB import the data as CSV?
I keep reading that if I launch QB and go to File - Open and choose the CSV I can save it as a QBO but I cannot locate the option under "File" in QB to open and save as. Anyone? currently runging QB Pro 2017 and 2019

Your Bank and Credit Card providers should offer the download as "qbo = ofx" instead of csv; or look for .iif. If .iif, there is no Banking Center functionality; a .iif file loads directly into the file on import. Otherwise, you need a conversion tool; Save As will not recode a csv file to meet the qbo requirements as internal coding is different.
Direct Connect = the QB program is supported by the Financial Institution directly and updated through a server connection feeding the qbo data into your Banking Center.
Web Connect = you Download a file and then use the manual tools for reading in the file, so you have to get the right file type or convert to the right file type, to use it.
