Yes. We are seeing the IRS sending out letters when valid QMID and there does seem to be a pattern. In your response, you will need to provide the 5695 again. I would circle the QMID so a person can see it and verify it is accurate. 

In addition, I would add the IRS approved manufacturer from Qualified manufacturers - Home energy credits

Along with any proof for the QMID. Maybe double check, find QMID.

I haven't heard of any responses from the letters yet but valid QMID seems like an easy defense. Good luck!
