I filed a return yesterday. Federal and Idaho.
Today, I noticed that Idaho is listed as accepted, but the federal is listed as "marked for EF" when in the EF Center. I thought it was odd, maybe I unintentionally only submitted the state, so I opened it up to file the federal. This time, my notification pops up saying that this submission is a duplicate of a one previously filed.
However, I cannot update status. There is no indication in the EF Center that it had been filed.
Do I have the client submit a paper return??? Thank goodness they have a refund due.
This is the second return to have this odd submission pattern. The first one was several weeks ago.

I wouldn't have them mail in a paper return; the e-file has probably gone through, but HomeBase has not synced up yet. In the EF Center, highlight the return that is not updating. From the E-File menu select Electronic Filing and then select Update Acknowledgement Status of Selected Returns/Extensions/Payments. Choose to update Only the Selected and then hit OK. This should recapture the acknowledgement and update the status.

Not sure if this is related to your issue, but there is an example of the screen in this community discussion.

I’ve had a few strange, stuck, or unable to obtain acknowledgments over the years… . After following @IntuitDawnC suggestions and beating my puter with a broomstick, I generally call support… they have the ability to track the submission and let you know the status
