I have never had a return rejected without a reason.  Look a little closer, there has to be some type of reason.

Just for clarification, is it rejected by the IRS or is it bounced as soon as you transmit because ProSeries believes your version of the software is not the most current version?

I saw another one of these in the Facebook PS group, maybe it was you?  They showed the whole rejection message and it just empty, very weird.

I think you need to contact Intuit or EServices and see if they can see more info on their end.
