We are trying to file extensions and the program won't allow unless we enter W-2 information and clear errors. We don't have some of this information yet, which is why we are filing extensions.

it did it last year too, annoying!! that part doesnt get sent with the extension, so I dont think it matters what you check or enter

Just put in a number and remember to remove it after filing the extension. Extension filing is one of the most ridiculous thing of PS.

I have filed 175 extensions so far.. all were transmitted in spite of all errors. not really errors but fields not yet completed.

For S Corp ext's - uncheck the box to efile original return.. that will fix it

safer to put in a w2 number, otherwise you might forget to recheck the efile button and get the wrong letters etc.
