I did as you suggested :

Refreshed the entire program (not just check for updates) but update EF status is still on the screen and the acknowledgment that it was received by intuit. 

Therefore the return is still held in abeyance by ProSeries and we cannot resubmit the return

It did not work...

Update: 10:45pm ET - refreshed update status and return accepted as of Feb 27th.

What did development do tonight that they couldn't have done days ago - doubt we get any transparency or responsibility taken for the fiasco!
