You can select to have NYS estimated vouchers filed and paid electronically.  You need to check the box on the federal info page to select efiling of state estimates, and then there's a drop down box below that where you select which quarters you want to efile (if you're not filing all 4 quarterly payments electronically).

My issue is when I check that box, the 3rd page of the letter which gives the state info, gives instructions to mail in vouchers, and also states estimates will be electronically filed.

As far as Mr. Kamman, you are giving him too much credit.  He was being snarky to me, and NYers.  He specifically mentioned how we "demand" the program be ready by mid-February, and then "we" expect it not to have errors.  That was in response to me questioning why the letter gave two different instructions.  NY DOR had nothing to do with my question or his response.  I know all I need to know about him by his reply.  I choose not to deal with people like that.  Life is too short, and tax season is too crazy.  However, I do appreciate people like you that take the time to give helpful advice and possible solutions.  Thank you for that.
