Here is the workaround I am currently using. It is not ideal, but it does allow me to move returns forward.

I downloaded the NY State e-file Signature Authorization form directly from NY State’s website:
https://www.tax.ny.gov/bus/efile/swd_income.htm

I complete the required fields in Adobe and provide the form to clients for signature.

Within ProSeries, I am able to print the IT-201 by selecting “print current form” from the NY State return. The form displays a watermark, but this does not prevent it from being used for client review and signature purposes.

Using this method, I have been able to e-file several NY State returns. However, as of now, those returns have not yet been accepted, so it is unclear whether this workaround will remain viable.

This process is significantly more time-consuming than normal and is not a sustainable solution, but I wanted to document what we are currently doing in order to continue serving clients.
