Does anyone know if Intuit plans on upgrading tax software to allow EFW for 1041ES? Other tax softwares does allow this. 2025 software still shows quarterly estimates as gray so can't ues. My client works with an investment advisor wondering why I can't set up electronic withdrawals for estimates for their trust. Currently my only option is to set up EFTPS to make quarterly estimated payments for trusts as IRS no longer will accept paper payment. It's a bit frustrating and makes me look bad. Thanks

Its just not offered anywhere except for EFTPS, not sure how that makes YOU look bad.
Were still waiting on further guidance regarding payments by check, they will have to make some exceptions.

1) The IRS *is* still accepting paper checks. They just aren't issuing paper checks, unless one meets/files for an exception.
2) Consider switching software?
3) I have always declined to accept the liability of setting up client payments via software. Too many things can happen mid-year. Setting up payments at irs.gov isn't difficult.
