Can you tell us how you are liking Drake?
I've also been with ProSeries Network version over a decade and agree on pricing. Keeps going up without actually getting more value.
My firm has does about 500 individual returns, most states, 400+ partnerships and corps, and 20-30 trusts and nonprofits.
I spoke with Jason Staats last month when he came to Salt Lake City and he said he recommends UltraTax if we're doing a lot of partner/ business returns. He also recommends Drake if you aren't doing so many business returns/ are ok with more manual processes, and ProConnect since they're web based and Intuit is focused there while decreasing major support for ProSeries. So I've narrowed switching to Drake, UltraTax or ProConnect, probably in that order. Drake is the cheapest.
I'd like to go with Drake if doing Partner returns now is efficient and feature complete because of the lower price, but don't know how much pain we'd experience. Tax Planning is important to us, so is speed and ease of workflow.
Would love to hear about your experience with Drake!
