1) I'm at a loss as to what you are trying to share on this.

2) There is a separate standard letter called 'Amended return".  Maybe this would help you on concern #1 also.

3) I've been using the Client letters forever.  I make some parts bold..some paragraphs shaded, some important parts outlined, got a separate page with just extension dates, blanks spaces for dates paid, check numbers or IRS confirmation #s.  I could go on and on, but you seem to have a preconceived notion of difficultness.

4) in all my years, I have NEVER once looked for the 'client letter' in the forms screen.  There is an icon on the top row that looks like an envelope with something inside and, and the word LETTER beside it, but I just click on Tools, scroll down to Letters and click on 'manage client specific letter' if I have something unique to this client, and create a client specific letter to this client. Both of those processes take me upwards of 2 to 4 seconds to get to ' client letter'

5) I don't know what you have done, but the letters have HUNDREDS OF DATES, all triggered by the normal things you select in compiling the return.

6) mine does, 100% of the time.

I would be happy to share my 'Standard client letter' with you, if you so desire.  I have sent to a few friends on here over the years. I just pasted to a Word document, and they just replaced their standard client letter with mine thru copy & paste.
