Georgia taxpayers can take an $8,000 for the Path2College credit, for married filling a joint return.  The program only allows $5,000.

Its probably "UP TO" 8000, are there some other limitations/requirements?

Thank you for you response.  I do not find where there is a limitation. The up to means no more than $8,000.   If I go to Pro Series instructions for help  with this form it says a $5,000 limitation.  My thoughts are the program has not been updated to the 2024 amounts..

Im not familiar with GA at all, and my state doesnt give any deductions for 529 plans,so I dont see it very often.

Is it limited per spouse that contributed?  I saw this on a TaxSlayer page

https://support.taxslayerpro.com/hc/en-us/articles/4405465099034-Desktop-Where-Do-I-Enter-Contributi...

Note: If the contribution amount was more than the deductible limit, do not enter more than $4,000 ($8,000 if both taxpayer and spouse contributed) per beneficiary.
