Log in issues happen quite frequently--more so this tax season. A third of the time the client is logging in with the wrong Intuit ID, one third of the time a re-invite works, and one third of the time I have to set up a new Link account using another email address supplied by the client.

Link has been very buggy since it's inception.  BE CAREFUL to check that the number of documents in the "requests" tab agrees to the number of documents in the "documents" tab.  Quite often clients will upload documents but in the accountant's view they only appear on the "documents" tab and NOT the "requests" tab.

Another unexplained issue encountered the last couple years is that not all documents download when clicking on the "download all files" button.

Last year a client who previously successfully used Link, uploaded everything to Link and sent me a screenshot on their end proving so. No idea where any of her files went as they did not appear in my view and PS support also had no idea.  Scary!

While I'm on a roll, I will also mention I have to use two different web browsers for Intuit products to work properly.  I can't have Link and QuickBooks open on the same browser without getting a 'bad realm' error.  Apparently they don't like each other and the PS/QB support staffs point the finger at each other.

I can only imagine the number of incorrect tax returns caused by errors that should never occur if the system was designed correctly.  Calling PS support support gets you to a dead end after wasting lots of time getting bounced around.

All this makes us tax preparers look bad.

Beware!
