I’ve a client in Boston leases a 4000 sq ft loft. He partitioned about 1200 sq ft for his living quarters. Rest is high end recording studio. He spent 750k on the studio fit out 10 years ago. I have no problem with his apportionment of the space because it’s legit…. I’ve been there
… on the other hand …. I have a photographer with a 3 room apartment and would like to claim 60 % business use because he has a workstation in his bed room and some camera equipment in the living room…. He keeps insisting and I keep omitting
know your client… do what’s right
If at first you don’t succeed…..find a workaround
