I've been using the ProSeries Professional software for several years. With this year's (2024) download, I get a box popping up titled "Intuit Applications Running" and telling me that I need to close the ProSeries Update application to avoid potential conflicts during the installation of ProSeries and that the installation will continue automatically when that application is closed. I can't select the ProSeries Update in the box to try to close the app. So how do I get past this?

Click on your computer's task manager and close anything that looks like an Intuit program

Restart the computer, when its started it back up, use CTRL + ALT+ DEL just once and choose Task Manager, End Task on any programs that are related to Intuit, then go back and try to do the installation.

Thanks for the tip. I opened my computer's task manager, found a ProSeries Update from last year's software that was running, deleted it and was able to complete my installation of this year's software.
