Husband and wife have separate Roth IRA’s but only husband has traditional IRA. Both ended up with excess contributions to each of their separate Roth IRA due to income limits. Can wife recharacterize her excess Roth contributions to her husband’s traditional IRA since she doesn’t have traditional IRA?
