From a clients perspective,  it makes the preparer's office look half-ass, that this is the quality of what they're putting out. The client doesn't care about the software company.

I'm a small, casual, affordable tax preparation office, my clients barely open the folder I send them, let alone read the stuff inside, none of my clients would even notice a typo like that....but if you a big tax prep firm, with high priced billing, its hard to justify your fees when your product quality looks half-assed with a typo front and center on a document you provide them.
