For how many years has the rule been you don't have to attach anything or list the details for covered transaction?
I'm guessing 5 or more.
The more I know the more I don’t know.

Time flies when you're having fun. The reporting of combined proceeds with basis, by brokers, goes back to the 2013 Schedule D. But back then, there were still a lot of pre-2011 assets being sold.
