I talked with Customer "Support" earlier this week about another issue (the fact that the AZ141 FORCES you to answer the "estate" questions - even when you mark that it is a resident trust).
Since we were going back and forth about the AZ module, I figured I would ask about the SBI. And of course the front line people couldn't see anything that indicated it is in the works or not in the works. All she could say is that the programmers couldn't start working on it until the tax forms had been published. But I told her, they were published on January 1.
So, not sure why it is that ProSeries 1) still hasn't officially responded / posted whether they are going to have this form, and 2) actually released this form.
Have a client I JUST finished. Has just over $25k of self-employment and rental incomes - both of which qualify for SBI. They are in the 4.17% tax bracket, so by using the SBI, would reduce taxes by 0.67% or about $170. That is likely enough to justify filling out the form and mailing the tax packet (since the SBI has to be mailed WITH the 140). BUT do I really want to fill it out by hand??? NO!!!
I'm getting REALLY frustrated with the Arizona programming module for ProSeries.
