I want to know if you need to amend an amended nys tax return how to do it correctly.

I thought since they accepted the first amendment, do i just delete the first amendment and then click on the it201x and re amend the return.  See the first original had a credit. then I amended it to take the credit off.. which they did remove the money  from his account. So if I erase the second one which will show no credit, and do an amendment for the credit will that work?  or do i have to do a paper mail in that will take weeks and weeks for them to even touch.   Has anyone ever re amended any amended returns?
