Hey there!
I am trying to find out where I put the previous years AGI for e-filing.(Proseries) I am finding conflicting information stating that it is required for the return to be accepted, then I am also seeing that it is no longer required. Where do I put the previous years AGI to prevent any conflict from happening?
Thank you all!

You needed it in the early days of e-filing but it has been a couple of centuries since it was required.

Only consumer tax prep software (TurboTax, etc) needs to use prior year AGI for Efiling.

Under forms in use and then carryover worksheet, there is a row that says AGI. Why don't you just plop that sucker down there under the 2020 column. I don't know what good it does but that it where somebody wants it.

In Proseries you can enter it on the carryover worksheet but if you transferred the client from a previous year it is there. You do not need it to efile a current year return.
