What we have been successful with thus far!

Wanted to chime in and update with what has worked successfully for us so far, for anyone who cares to know:

1. Form 940 - we have had no issues with this form, and it has printed successfully for all of our clients.

2. W2s - have printed successfully for all of our clients so far.

3. Processing payroll - we have done one TX payroll & one IA payroll - no problems.

4. Direct deposit processing - have processed payroll & direct deposit NACHA file for one client, uploaded to bank and has successfully posted to client's account.

5. SUTA - Special SUTA forms - uploads for TX and LA have processed successfully for us.

6. Also, while the first time we open a client account it does take some time to process the file, we are not seeing any major lag times reopening the file after the initial instance in the new program.  However, I have noticed that accessing some screens does seem to take a moment longer than I remember it opening.  However, nothing that is taking minutes at a time, maybe just a few seconds

Unsuccessful attempts:

1. Printing vendor checks - still accesses the bank account listed as the Payroll Bank Account and not the Vendor Bank Account

If anyone else wants to chime in what is working successfully, I'm sure others would appreciate knowing.  I'll update next week as we move onto other accounting functions in the program.

Just curious, did you run the first 2026 payroll after the 1st install but before the first update?  I did and now I can't access the company at all. After an hour on the phone with support, they don't seem to know anything about EasyAcct.  I run 12 restaurants and the 6 that I processed the first payroll with, I currently can not get into their company data files at all!

You know, I do not recall if it was before the latest update, or the update just prior to the latest one.  I had installed the new system last week and then soon after the little green light popped up there was an update and I installed it then.  Sorry I am not much more help!

Form 940, we are able to print, but e-filing, is not available at this time.

The only thing unsuccessful for me is the W2 uploads to SSA. They are being accepted by SSA, but on the confirmation the number of W2 forms in wrong. Total wages reported is correct.

I would feel much more confident if the number of W2 forms matched what the W3 says.

Our form 940 does not print the the "0" in the cents field from line 6 to line 14. Form W-3 also does not print the "0" in the cents field. Hopefully, a fix will be soon.

You say you haven't seen the issues with it running ungodly slow, can I ask how many users you have working at a time?  Ours seems to run ok (still slower than the past, but at least tolerable) when I come in early in the morning and I am the only one working on it, but as soon as we get too many users in at one time it is slow as molasses. Our server was just updates and has plenty of capability and none of the other software we use is having any kind of speed issues, only EasyAcct.

We don't use a server for the program; it's installed on individual machines. And there are 4 of us here. My experience is it's slower but not slow enough to slow us down much.  Closing out year-end did take much longer than usual - 2 or 3 minutes per client compared to 10 or 15 seconds before.  But getting into and out of the client accounts or running reports didn't seem to take minutes at a time, just a few extra seconds.

There in lies the difference then. I'm assuming most of the people having issues are running it on a server with multiple users.  It just cannot seem to handle that at all. I'm talking about 5+ minutes just to run an earnings report for some of our larger clients.
